visit ASAP??????????????????????????????????? Hoooo that medical jargon...thanks for not let us know what you are talking about Luis -----Mensaje original----- De: K Dew <kdew@bellsouth.net> Para: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L <ob-gyn-l@forum.obgyn.net> Fecha: Domingo, 12 de Marzo de 2000 11:01 p.m. Asunto: counseling after amnio results are in How do members of the list handle the counseling session after amniocentesis? My lab sometimes takes 10 days, sometimes 21 to get the results back making a "set" interval between the amnio and the counseling session almost impossible to schedule. My policy, and I am very open to suggestions and criticism, is to call the patient and schedule a visit "ASAP" to discuss the results. I give no information over the phone at all, rather insist on a face to face meeting. some people have suggested that my method is "too harsh" and induces too much stress. please comment K. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
