34 y.o. pregnant patient, G1P0, with 300 mg/dL sugar present in her urine, had full GTT done. Glucose was measured in capillary whole blood and following results were received: fasting - 79 mg/dL 1h - 181 2h - 160 3h - 96 I coudn`t find information about glucose threshold values in whole blood for 100-g OGTT. Above-mentioned results don`t correspond to criteria for gestational diabetes (105-190-165-145) estimated for glucose level in plasma. But for all I know, glucose level in whole blood is ~ 15% lower than in plasma. So, upper limit for glucose level in whole blood could be 90-162-140-123. I`am not sure I`am right but if I`am it means this patient has gestational diabetes. I will appreciate if someone sends me his/her opinion about this case.
