So far I have been very courteous on all my posts. I plan to continue to be the same and discuss the message and not the messenger. What has age got to do with using a vacuum extractor?

In the 60's and early 70's vacuum extraction was not taught in most places in the US, At least it wasn't taught nor even heard of at the Univ. Of Mich. in Ann Arbor. Some at least some of the older gynecoloists were not exposed to it during our training. Sorry about that.

That is correct again. but nowhere did you answer the ONLY question and doubt that I had left after Dr. Ramirez posted his Cochrane library query into the matter. Please look at it and answer it if you can. It is late at night and have just returned after a hard day of work. Tomorrow night I will go to "Lucia di Lamermoor" and will not be able to read anything at the post. I again feel honored having won the trophy of "the silliest question ever posted at the forum". If it is so silly, why has so many flame replies but not ONE answer been received. In the meantime, I will continue to attempt to behave well mannered and educated and not descend to the level of personal replies and offfenses.

Carlos

PS (remember, tomorrow Lucia, no flame replies). BTW, what was the answer to the vacuums only question, the silliest ever in the post, flames aside?????

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
