Big twin, small twinFrom: Paul Prior MD (pprior@earthlink.net)Sat Mar 4 07:24:22 2000
Any thoughts on a twin pregnancy where initial scan at unknown dates showed around a 1.5 week discordancy (8 wks and ~9.5 wks) that has persisted - last u/s ~12 and 10.5 wks CRL length but with both twins growing. Is this an indication for amnio even if eventual anatomy scans are normal except for the different sizes? To complicate things, this is a patient going overseas (Korea) in a week (she will only be ~14 weeks then) and will be getting her care there.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
