tongue studsFrom: chris stanley (nd84md@aol.com)Tue Feb 29 17:24:59 2000
since moving to florida i have noticed that there are a significant number of my OB patients sporting various types of intra-oral jewelry, most popular being the tongue stud. can this be a good thing? i thought i saw something last year about poor oral health being associated with an increased risk of preterm labor and chorio. should i counsel my punctured patients to go studless for the duration of their pregnancy? any similar situations out there? thanks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
