Nothing can be done except keep the diagnosis in mind when you get sudden bradycardia, especially after amniotomy. The time that one normally takes repositioning etc the baby will bleed out.

I've seen 2, both babies remarkably did well. One actually bled out several hours after amniotomy. Never seen such a pale baby.

The diagnosis of this problem with ultrasound is becoming more common and with color doppler we'll be finding more of these antepartum.
