I had one in a 15 yo girl I presented on the list 3 or 4 weeks ago (http://www.gyneweb.fr/sources/forum/gynelist/ovaire.htm).

The final path was the same as yours. The decision was to leave things like that, do a second look in 6 months (risk of peritoneal pseudomyxoma) and remove the appendix.

25 y.o. woman, single, without pregnancies till now, have been operated for pyovarium. During the diagnostic laparoscopy the integrity of the tumor was disrupt. Resection of the right ovary was performed. Left ovary, tubes, etc.. - without evidence of any disease. Frosen section - papillar adenoma with inflamation. After three days the final pathologic diagnosis - mucinous cystadenoma with bordeline malignancy. What to do?
