Glen Thanks for your very clear description of how to do the symphysiotomy for SD. You describe it just how I would have done it had I the need to do it. I did have one delivery that could have used this back in '87. Baby died before I got it delivered. It remains the worst experience of my career. All maneuvers completed appropriately, to no avail. The symphysiotomy make SO much more sense than the Zavanelli maneuver. I am not sure I was aware of it in '87. Wasn't ther a tool in the past called the "Smelly Scissors" meant just for this? Or were they for something else?
