Urinary urgency

I agree with Karen re: the possible causes and treatment. Though it sounds that she has got some degree of detrusor instability, the absence of nocturia is a point against. I would be tempted to order an ultrasound scan of the bladder and pelvis (including the residual volume). If all are normal and she does not improve with amitryptiline you may try oxybutynine.
