You notice that I said if she has been on the estrogen for awhile already, you might try it. In other words, she might no longer need it for the vasomotor symptoms. I don't think that it causes vasomotor symptoms, but it does nothing to releve them. I was suggesting it as an alternative so that she could get off the estrogen. Then maybe the mask would disappear. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
