Dear Colleagues, Who of you on the list consider complex urodynamic testing mandatory before every surgical incontinence procedure? In other words , before proceeding to a vaginal/abdominal colposuspension procedure do you always ask for cystometry, urethral pressure profilometry and uroflowmetry? Who of you rely more on the simple clinical evaluation and consider urodynamic testing only for unclear clinical cases? Is there any medicolegal implication in proceeding to surgery without a previous complex urodynamic testing? Please give me your opinion. Rob

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
