I didn't say the medical executive committee was non doctors, just non obs. If the individual representing the ob/perinatal department is not an advocate for his peers and evidence based ob care, I don't think a group of non-ob doctors will be equipped to make practice decisions that we obstetricians have difficulty agreeing on. The administration's viewpoint on medical issues is often short sighted and economic based, promoted by non-MDs, nursing administration and bean counters.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
