Re: colpocleisisFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Mon Jan 17 09:46:56 2000
You might do better doing a Manchester-Fothergill procedure. It is a 15-20 minute procedure and can even be done under local. One just removes a small strip of vaginla lining anteriorly and another one posteriorly and then sews the underlying tissue together. Simpler and less surgical risk and morbidity. We're both in our 40s, but have never seen or done one. Does anyone have any experience/suggestions? Yes, we know we should find an older doc whose done them, yada yada. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
