Re: Coumadin and pregnancyFrom: Gerald P. Rodriguez (geraldpr@cybermesa.com)Fri Jan 14 11:37:06 2000
Although I have not seen any literature on the use of low molecular weight heparin (Lovenox) in pregnancy, if I were in your shoes or her obstetrician's shoes, I would vigorously pursue this as a possibility since this seems to be becoming the standard for the treatment of thrombophlebitis and thromboembolic disease--at least on the outpatient population.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
