I think that the carriers automatically reject and review modified claims (-22), and probably don't give a hoot as to what we think we did to deserve more. It really stinks that we follow the rules, and they write their own rules, and *we agree to them.*

On another note, the CPT codes for laparoscopies and hysteroscopies have been redone. Check out the new 2000 CPT book. One doc in each practice should every December/January.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
