I am a R.N. and I was checking with other doctors offices about how they are making their Monsels for colposcopies and LEEPs. I found out that offices are doing several different ways and I would like to know what is the correct way to make it. I have always evaporated Ferrous Subsulfate in the past. I have found a office that has a pharmacy put a thickener in it and another that has put KY Jelly in it. Some add Ferrous Subsulfate to thin it out and others use steril water to thin it. Could you help me out. Thank you, Celeste Hilde R.N. shilde @attbi.com

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
