I am a nurse working in high risk ob looking for a simple way to explain ultrasound terminology. My sister has been diagnosed with low/ no end diastolic blood flow. I can get thru the systolic portion of this is when contraction begins but if there is no blood flow at relaxation doesn't that mean that blood remains with fetus. I can't believe after working in this field for 4 years I still have very little working knowledge of ultrasounds other then no flow/ reversalof flow bad!. Leigh
