Hi Lisa. At our ruals hospital we also offer car seats and some of us had training on infant safety seats but no licensure is offered only CE credits. Patient teaching is done, then we escort them to the front and observe for correct placement of seat which is performed by a family memeber. Cindy>----- Original Message -----

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
