Patience is a big quality, a caring heart, a love for working closely with families. Why do nurses leave the area? For me it was simply the hours. My kids are now in school, 12 hour shifts do not jive well with school hours. For me the feeling of being in the delivery room after having worked all day with a laboring mom and to be honored to be present for this event was so awesome. Labor and Delivery is usually a happy place, but sometimes it is sad. In those cases of pregnancy loss I always wonder why I "got stuck with those patients" It was not until recently that I learned that the reason I ended up with those patients is because I had something to offer, a kind word, a hug, a shared tear...At Mon, 26 Mar 2001, Sally Talbot, RN wrote: >

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
