Hello, I am not a nurse, but I am a Medical Assistant. I have been out of the field for some time and wish to volunteer my time in an area of women's health so that I can gain enough experience to re-enter the field.I recently decided to apply as a weekend volunteer at a well known women's clinic, but I noticed that twice in the same paragraph, in very bold type I had to affirm that I am pro-choice to be considered as a volunteer or employee.
In your opinion would this be considered discrimination?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
