Hi I am 32 year old. Since last 10 months my vaginal left lip getting swolen and there is a severe pain. I consulted gynac, according to the doctor it is bartholine cyst. I underwent surgery where she opened the valves but not the gland. But she said it is a temporary solution if it recurr again she may have to remove the gland. Which is a major surgery. 3 months after that it has recurred again(after the intercourse). Now i am very scared. If she removes the gland will there be any side effects..can i have sex? Will it affects my sexual life? Please guide me. I have heard even after the surgery there are chances of recurrence and the intercourse will be painfull. Is that true. Is it adviceable to take antibiotics/painkillers and solve it temporarily. Please guide me. Thanks XYZ
