Re: Seeking another opinion pleaseFrom: jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 May 2003 10:50:36 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I am 29 years old and have had 3 normal pregnancies and deliveries. Since the birth of my youngest, 2 years ago, my PMS has been worse than ever. Since the start of the new year, my cycles have been horrible. I saw my dr. and he prescribed natural progesterone cream, as he determined from my symptoms I am progesterone deficient. I can definitely make the connection that my symptoms do start post-ovulation. I know there is some controversy as to the benefit to natural progesterone cream so here are my questions; Is there another route to look into for helping the PMS symptoms? My dr. says the natural progesterone cream should not cause any side effects, do you agree? My major compliant is nausea and diziness. Also, last cycle I developed really bad pelvic pain, it has gotten better but still comes and go. I mean for 2 weeks these symptoms are life interupting and I am so tired of feeling awful. Any thoughts on what is causing the horrible nausea? Thanks for your time. I appreciate any insight that can be offered. I am new to my area and really like this dr, but just wanted to know if there is any better way to treat my PMS. By the way, recently had all blood work done and all results came back normal(thyroid, iron, etc.....)
