Im 17 years old with horrible cramps. I actually have them at the moment and they are driving me crazy. I dont know if this is normal and I really want to know what to do because barely anything helps. I get my cramps 3 or 4 days before my period and 3 or 4 days during. My cramps are so bad they actually make me cry and make me feel like im going to throw up. Both my mother and my grandmother passed out when they were my age from their cramps also. I get also back aches, head aches, hot and cold sweats, rapid body temperature changes, diahrea, nausea, shakes, blurry vision, my skin aches, cramps in "other places", and i bleed VERY heavily for the first four days. My period usually last 7 days and once it lasted 12. Tylonol 3 doesnt work, advil doesnt, extra strenght asprin barely does. Hot water bottles dont do anything. My cramps will wake me up in the middle of the night and They will keep me up for 2-4 hours. Im sick and tired of it and i want to know what helps. My gyno gave me some cramp pills called Naprosyn but they gave me a rash all over my chest. I just need to know what to do. Basically im suffering! I think I'm too young to have my periods this bad. Thanks for the advice.

Marie
