Condom QuestionFrom: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 23 May 2001 00:48:51 -0500 (CDT)
I was just wondering if someone could tell me something about condoms.I understand that the proper use of a condom is for immediate removal after ejaculation, holding the condom at the base...My question is, the other night I had sex with a condom and told my partner not to ejaculate inside as I was mid-cle.He came anyway, not telling me, and I was still trying to reach my climax...Iguess it must have been 2 or3 minutes until I climaxed and very carefully pulled him out holding onto the base of the condom...I looked at the condom afterwards and it was still fully intact and he still had an erection, but I did see the semen in the condom which is when he told me he did indeed climax..The base of his shaft was dry and the semen was not all the way down the condom..More just below the top...My question is, is this relatively safe? I didn't seek morning after pill assistance as I knew I was already ovulating and didn't think it would have helped at that point.I feel this is a good question that not many people might know the answers to...I know that anything is possible, but realisticly, what are the odds?
