My 15yr old daughter has had this happen this week. She has never had a sexual contact. Her episode began with flu-like symptoms and then lesions on the labia. She also began her period the day the she began experiencing pain in the labia area. Her doctor also immediately suspected herpes and took a culture. I feel certain it will be negative. She has been in tremendous pain. She is taking acyclovir and pain medication. We go back to the doctor. Do you have any more information that might help us.
