birth class and bed rest

I knew I would end up having to ask some type of question today: I totally forgot to ask my OB about this, I called and left a message but she is off for a few days- well deserved and needed. I am on restricted bed rest- laying on left side only for min of 6-7 hours a day not to include bedtime at night, due to hx of pre eclampsia and HELLP and also having mild pre-eclampsia now. This is my second pregnancy- 32 weeks. I am also gestational diabetic and hypo thyroid. I have a birth class, lamaze, scheduled for Jan 9. it is an ALL day thing- 10 hours! Is it safe for me to go to this? My dh is having a fit about it and thinks we should pass on it. I have never been to an actual class to know what happens. The first pregancy was a Vaginal delivery however I was unconscious for most of it, due to the eclampsia and HELLP and liver and kidney failure- it was also 4 years ago and a different method. Also the baby is in the breech position. I understand that if it stays that way a C- section will be necessary, my ob said we would discuss that after I am 35 weeks if it stays breech. I am also on constant fetal monitoring every 2 days. NST/AFI. My pressure is coming down to a wonderful 122/54 ( still up 10systolic from baseline) and the swelling is almost gone. All that for a simple question! Just curious if I should cancel or give it a try. Thanks Shell Send reply to Mykidsmomma@earthlink.net Yahoo Pgr: ShellCS
