Dear Tracy,
That would be an important question to ask when you return to your doctor. Irritable bowel syndrome wouldn't be expected to affect your fertility. PCO might affect your fertility, although most women with PCO are able to get pregnant without help at some time in their lives. Having a diagnosis, or ruling out some possibilities, would make it easier to answer your question about fertility.
