We all have to remember that this forum is here as a service to all of us. The Medical Professionals volunteer their time here. Not only do they have busy practices, but they also have families, and just like everyone else, want to spend time with their families, since the time with them is very precious. I have cousins that are retired MD's (married to each other; one a surgeon and the other an OBGYN). She (the OBGYN) actually cut her time practicing in half when she had her children, otherwise she wouldn't have seen them at all. Between the practice, meetings, surgeries, etc., there isn't a whole lot of time left. I was also friends with an OBGYN, and I was able to see first hand some of what the family goes through when one is a Dr. Maybe if you look at it this way instead of feeling ignored, it will make it somewhat easier.
