Hi Lorraine,

It is possible it was pain with ovulation which is called mittleschmertz. The fluid that is in the follicle is irritating to the pelvic cavity and can cause pain. I have had this problem ever since the first time I ovulated. It is very painful, and I have been concerned more than once that it could be appendicitis because it is always on my right side and it is very tender if it is palpated.

If the problem gets worse check back with your doctor.

Best wishes,
