I was given an internal examination and using the speculm the docter looked at my cervix, she told me the pain was nothing to worry about and put it down to maybe stress because of the situation. She then explained that I had a patch of "raw cells" on my cervix and that this is caused due to either pregancy or the Oestregen in the pill causing the neck of the womb to open (I have never been Pregnant) she called this (I am not completly sure on the spelling) Cytopy, she is now sending me for a colposcopy and she said that they may use silver nitrate on the raw patch. Now you know my previous history, my qusetions are 1) Is this the only answer to what it could be, could they tell me at the hospital that it could be something else? 2) How does the silver nitrate work and would I only have to have it once? Thank you for your help with this matter
