vaginal discharge

I had a yeast infection for the first time approximately one month ago when I used a lotion with vanilla in it. I used Monistat 3 for 2 days; it started burning the second time I used it. It cleared up with me soaking in Baking Soda. Shortly after, another breakout came when I took a shower and used a red washcloth which has a lot of dye in it. That's clearing up to; however, since then I've been having a discharge that's more than usual. It doesn't smell; however, I do want to know what's causing it. Is the cream from Monistat 3 coming out, or the baking soda or what? Also, I'm in college now, and I can't soak in the bathtub. Is it alright I just put some baking soda on the outside vagina, let it sit for a while then rinse it off?
