BBT which rise indicates ovu. & an LH Surge less that 24hrs before ovu. From: Gem (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 11 Aug 1999 14:10:42 -0500 (CDT)
I have been monitoring my BBT and have come to see a very distinct pattern in the first half of my cycle. I am wondering more about the precise day of ovulation. My cycles average 26-28 days. To give you a better understanding I'll sum up these temps below, Pre-Ovulatory Flow x 4 days, 97.8, 98.0 (<--very stressed, quit smoking and had PAP), 97.5, 97.3, 97.4, 97.3, 97.4, 97.3, 97.7(Day 13), 98.0 (Day 14), 97.8, 97.9. That's all thus far. I tend to give my self a break from charting when I have my period. I've "thrown out" the first 2 temps, due to the stress of quitting smoking, one 2 am night with little sleep, and a PAP Smear (that always shakes me). I used an OKP this cycle with ++ results on day 13. Day 13 also inluded egg-white CM and slight cramping on the left side. Sorry about making this so long, no for my questions: 1. Is the "Day of Ovulation" the 1st day your temp makes the jump (Day 13) or is it the highest point (Day 14)? 2. I know OPK say they "pick up" the LH surge 24-48 hrs in advance but I had the "cramping, discharge, and temp rise" all within 16 hrs. Is that possible? Thank you in advance for answering my question, sorry about the length, I wanted to be sure you had all the facts.
