Recurring Bacterial VaginosisFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Jul 1999 10:23:41 -0500 (CDT)
Is it possible that using prescription diet pills(phentermine, water pill, thyroid pill, phenzene) for an extended period of time, could be causing recurring BV? Or maybe the use of tampons, even though I change them every 4-6 hours? Every month when my period ends, I have a discharge with an odor, and slight burning, but using an OTC yeast infection medicine seems to clear it up. My doctor prescribed an oral Y.I. medicine, but it doesn't seem to help much. This has been going on for about a year now. I'm 35, have had 2 children, and am sexually active with my spouse. Any ideas?
