I had a D&E in May after a 17 weeks "missed abortion". I am 41 and have had a tough recovery from it and was wondering the same thing myself. I had hemorraging after the procedure and couldn't stop bleeding for several weeks. I felt like I'd been "butchered" but finally now I am starting to get my cycle back and feeling better every day. When I was 23 I had a complicated and life threatening premature birth that took me months to recover from but I conceived again rather quickly and went full term, all normal. This pregnancy, 17 years later, was a huge surprise but now my husband and I want to start a "second generation" family. My doctor insists that this shouldn't harm my chances of conceiving again and at my age that is a real concern. (She is a woman who has been thru this herself.) Try not to worry too much and try to be patient and take care of yourself after going thru an ordeal like that. If you're not cycling normally, get help from your doctor. Best wishes.
