Dear Elizabeth, Cervical cap is not a popular birth control device, since its effectivity is low and many women find it uncomfortable to use. The cap should cover all over the cervical opening, so that the spermatozoa can't go up to the uterus and meet the ovum. Pregnancy can occur, if you misplace this thing. So I suggest you to choose the other birth control device.
