Is this what most doctor's do?

This is what any prudent doctor would do.

>How common is it for a AGCUS pap to change back to normal the next time?

Very common >Does a biopsy hurt?

Most of my patients report a brief pinch, and then nothing, though there are some exceptions.

How long will I bleed?

Not more than a day or two. If you bleed longer than that, you should talk with your doctor.

How long do I have to refrain >from sex?

I suggest 2 weeks, though there is little evidence that it matters one way or the other.

Is there anything I can do to prepare for this procedure?

Avoid sex the night before, and do not douche. Remember, the piece of tissue that is biopsied is smaller than a BB. This is not like a bone marrow, this is very quick, and virtually always well tolerated by the patient. >Would appreciate any info. Thank you.
