A Question for Doctors- Nerves of the genital region

Dear Doctors,

I have a question about the composition of nerves found in the external reproductive region of the female.

I've read that the vulva is a highly sensitive area, and I was wondering if (in the average person) there is a larger concentration of pain sensitive nervous structures found in this genital area than in other regions of the female body.

The obvious worry is that with such structures as the clitoris, labium, etc., a blow to this area could cause immense, debilitating pain (contrary to popular belief).

Could you please comment on the above points?

Thank you very much for your assistance!
