FWD:Osteoporosis and Constipation!!From: Tracy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Jun 1999 11:26:50 -0500 (CDT)
Dear Women's Forum, I had an oopherectomy 15 years ago. I could not tolerate estrogen, but always tried the latest. Now I have severe osteoporosis and cannot find a pill that will not upset my stomach. The constipation problem is severe... I had half of the bowel removed 5 years ago and now I try to be so careful. Can you recommend anything for me that is easy on the stomach, less constipating??? I tried fosamax (ouch!!!) and am now trying evista, but it is also constipating. I don't want to hurt my stomach anymore, but I do want to heal my bones. I appreciate your advice in this matter. Thank you, Sincerely,
