Val- I did a bit of checking myself, and found this. The story of a woman that came darn close to dying as a result of this medication. I mostly saw that it was used for endo, adeno is a form of endo, so maybe that is why they are considering it. I would push for bloodwork. A hormonal work-up, prior to doing anything. Adeno, as treated currently, here in the states, is said to be a hyst only cure. That is not the only option. Email me and I can tell you about another procedure that preserves the uterus while removing the adeno. Did the dr do a pelvic and say that her uterus felt different? The uterus takes on a totally different feeling when adeno is present. I have read that in several places and been told by one dr that same thing also.

I know this is only ONE person's story. But, with such a severe side-effect, even in only one person, I would advise caution. The one sight I found said it was for endo and fibrocystic breast disease. One woman said she gained 22 pounds and had bouts with acne. Good Luck to both of you! Cheryl :o)
