UTI

I just came back from my Dr's office. I have a few questions that I didn't ask him. I would appreciate the help. I went in with pain approx. by the ovaries and below them on the left side. I had no problem urinating but I had a slight amount of blood in my urine. I gave a urine sample and it came back with a high white count with a little blood in it. My dr checked me internally and said my ovaries were fine and then gave me a perscription for an antibiotic. He stated that he thought it was a bladder infection. He then mentioned that when the culture came back it should be positive. Can the white count mean something else? Can it mean anything like ovarian cancer.
