Bicornuate uterusFrom: D' (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Jun 1999 00:16:08 -0500 (CDT)
I have two separate uteruses joined by one horn, I have been pregnant twice (high risk) and delivered each healthy baby by c-secton from each uterus (16 mos. apart) before becoming pregnant I had some infertility issues which were caused by tissue growing on the tubes, after surgery I was pregnant a year later. I was told that I also had two cervixes and possibly multiple ovaries. I was advised to have my tubes tyed as any more pregnacies could be dangerous, so I did. I have had a very difficult time dealing with this so called situation, so much that I haven't seen a obgyn in about 5 years. I've changed doctors often but still, I can't help but feel like a side show freak that all the doctors and nurses have to come and see! not to mention having to have 2 pap smears oouuh ouch!! Are there health risks associated with this? And was my doctor correct in advising me not to become pregnant again? I have been thinking about having a tube reversal. Thanks for your input.
