I'm supposed to have a laparoscopy this Wednesday, but am concerned it might have to be postponed. I've come down with a cold - it started last week (at first I thought it was the remnant of whatever made me ill last weekend - thought I had the flu), and now all that's left is some chest congestion, which is improving. I don't have a runny nose, sore throat or even a fever. Just that darned congestion. It seems to be improving, and it could possibly clear up by Wednesday, but what if it doesn't clear up completely by then? Would it still be possible to have the surgery, especially since I don't have a fever at all? I just want to get this over with as soon as possible. I struggled for a very long time to get the surgery arranged, and would be devastated if it gets postponed. Please advise!
