I for one do not expect any sort of feedback after I reply - not every question will turn into a thread or discussion - sometimes it is a simple ask & answer. Threads will not go on forever either - new questions to answer or issues to discuss come up. If there is a particular topic that really interests you there are many mailing lists available to discuss many issues specifically and many ways to set up new ones.
