Hello- I live in Southwest Virginia and when I recently went in for my annual, the OB/GYN found inflammation and my pap test came back showing atypical glandular cells of undetermined significance, and he suggested a LEEP as a next step--not a second pap smear or coloposcopy. When I read about the LEEP I was terrified! Now I have an appointment with a highly recommended doctor in Northern Virginia, but it is a month away, which means that I have had to postpone--and possibly cancel, depending on how the office visit goes--a two-month trip to Japan. My two questions are: 1. Would it be unsafe to wait a few months before seeing the doctor again? (I do have access to OB/GYN care in Japan if necessary). 2. For the past 10 years I have been trying to get rid of a very stubborn case of what appears to be tinea versicolor. I have seen doctors, used selenium sulfide, etc. etc. but am never able to stop treatment because it always reappears, sometimes as far south as my belly button. Could this fungus be in my internal organs and related to the AGCUS? I cannot thank you enough for your help. Sincerely, Frances Anne
