Adnomiosis/EndometriosisFrom: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 18 Jan 1999 16:59:59 -0600 (CST)
In 1991 my doctor treated me for "endometriosis" for insurance paper purposes, however told me I had "adnomiosis" which I was told was endometriosis inside the uterus. I have been treated with Loestrin for the last five years, however I am again having pelvic pain in my cervix and uterus during intercourse. Here are my two questions. 1) Would a higher dosage birth control pill help the growth (if any) and possibly decrease the pain? And, 2) Is there a different way to treat adnomiosis (since you can't see it) other that treating endometriosis? My endometriosis stage is sever adhesions and blocked fallopian tubes (which have been pinned back with surgery). Give it your best shot...and thank you! Mary Cheadle
