Amniotic bandsFrom: Chris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 8 Jan 1999 06:58:03 -0600 (CST)
My daughter had a ultra sound done she is in her fifth month of pregnancy, yesterday her o.b.g.y.n. informed her of an amniotic band that was detected on the ultrasound, she did not go into to much detail about this condition, the baby is fine at this point but her concerns seem to be on what could happen, I have read up on this, and to be quite honest I am scared to death of what is going to happen to this little baby! What I would like to know is there any chance this baby will not be affected by this band? She is now placed on a high risk pregnancy, Is there any way to control the constrictve bands or the loss of amniotic fluid? Apparently the band is on the right side, the baby at the time of ulta sound was not close to the band. please any input from you would be appreciated. thanks, Chris
