I have not read the Forum questions for a few weeks, and I am truly saddened by all the controversy that has abounded while I was away. Let me speak only for myself about what this site has meant to me. I have only ever asked one question, but I learn so much from others, everytime I come to this site. I dont mean to play the violin, but for years, I had no idea what was wrong with me. I thought I was crazy, a hypochondriac, maybe I was causing myself all the pain I felt on a daily basis.I think many women have felt the same way. When I received a tentative diagnosis of endo, FINALLY. First I was relieved." I am not so crazy!" Then, when I did not receive adequate answers from my doctor as to how this disease would affect me, treatments available, etc. I started looking for answers. I can not express how much it meant to me to find this site. It has helped me so much, emotionally and physically, to know that someone out there knew what I was going through, and that there ARE physicians that care about this disease. Even now, when my family, coworkers, and spouse just dont seem to get it, I check this site just to remind myself that there are others out there that feel the same way. So, I guess my reason for responding to this whole mess is to let the caregivers who are so unselfishly giving of their time and expertise, know that there are probably alot of people out there just like me, who benefit from your time and effort, you just dont hear from us. So, from all of us- Thank You
