teenager's birth control pill

What is the best pill for a 16 year old to be taking? How do I know what estrogen & progestron levels are safest? My daughter was taking Ortho 28 (?) but was possibly highly allergic to the green pills (swollen face). She also felt the nausea symptoms a week before her period. Now her doctor wants to try Ortho 777 which has a higher dose of progestron the last week. I am confused. I don't want to bounce her hormones around.

Thank you
