It's unusual in patients not sexually active but not unheard of. Just curious - are there any bowel problems, inflammaatory bowel disease? These can create infectious pockets, called fistulas which can mimic Bartholin's gland infections and come back at regualr intervals. Check this out with your doctor.

Possible but uncomfortable and may be a somewhat bloody procedure. Used as a last resort.
