ASCUS seen in some practices in up to 25% of patients.Rarely indicates hi grade dysplasia(pre-cancer).Can be related to recent intercourse,drying artefact,infection--and dysplasia. If colposcopic exam is normal--usually resolves spontaneously if patient not in hi risk group.
